Tactical Tech presents at Cooperation 2.0 in Spain
On March 2, Tanya Notley, from Tactical Tech, presented at the Cooperation 2.0. This was the third International Meeting on ICT for Development Cooperation organised by The CTIC Foundation (Center for the Development of Information and Communication Technologies), a non-profit organisation based in Spain.
The main goal of the CTIC Foundation is to promote and stimulate activities related to the development of Information and Communication Technologies in all fields of economic and social life. This years Cooperation 2.0 event was focussed on "new models of cooperation in ICT for human development" and "innovation from the South". The event brought together international development agencies, policymakers and innovators
In her presentation, Tanya explained the participatory model used to develop Mobiles in-a-box and 10 tactics for turning information into action. She also gave a practical workshop in visualising information where participants worked together to create an info-graphic.
Other presenters included Julianna Rotich, co-founder of the mapping platform, Ushahidi; Chamindra de Silva, co-founder of disaster management software, Sahana and Daniel Amrose, head of the mobile platform development organsiation, Manobi.
