Nachdem das Programm in den vergangenen zwei Jahren online stattfinden konnte, freuen wir uns, in diesem Jahr Berliner und internationale Künstler*innen virtuell und leibhaftig vor Ort präsentieren zu können. Im Fokus stehen unsere “New Companions” – all die Geräte und Programme, die uns heute so selbstverständlich durch den Alltag begleiten, von GPS über Memes und Face Filter zu Sprachdiensten wie Alexa oder Siri. Gemeint sind aber auch alte Gefährt*innen, die aufgrund von Pandemie und Klimakatastrophe neu ins Blickfeld geraten: Pilze, Pflanzen, Tiere, Mikroorganismen. Wir leben in einer mehr-als-menschlichen Welt, die alle natürlichen Wesen und künstlichen Kreaturen einschließt. Die Herausforderung ist es, diese Verflochtenheit neu zu denken. “Spy on Me #4” imaginiert eine alternative Zukunft, in der Technik und Natur nicht in einer Ökologie der Ausbeutung verbunden sind, sondern durch konstruktive Resonanz.
